Chad & Nan Cocran
Lead Pastor
Pastor Chad is the son of Pastor Jerry Cocran, the founder of Generations Church (formerly New Jerusalem Praise and Worship Center), where Pastor Chad grew up attending. In 2001, he moved to Thailand to serve as a missionary where he met his wife, Nan. Over the next 17 years, Pastors Chad and Nan worked together to preach the Gospel and start churches among the unreached peoples of Southeast Asia. In 2018, they returned to the US to become the lead pastors of Generations Church. God has blessed their family with two wonderful children, Sam and Ana.
Jerry & Denise Cocran
Founding Pastor/Senior Overseer
Pastor Jerry Cocran is a native of Slidell, LA, and has lived here all his life. In February of 1985, he started New Jerusalem Praise and Worship Center (which is now Generations Church) with a group of about 50 people. He and his wife, Denise, have 6 children and many grandchildren. Besides his role as Senior Overseer of Generations Church, Pastor Jerry also serves in an apostolic oversight role with the Network of Related Pastors, an international fellowship of churches.
Missions
Generations Church has a heart for missions and is constantly looking for opportunities to share God’s love with people around the world. Our pastors, Chad and Nan, served as missionaries in Southeast Asia for 17 years and have a heart to see the Good News of God’s love brought to those who have yet to receive it. Generations Church supports missionaries serving here at home and in every corner of the globe and gives almost 20% of its annual budget to missions. Our members make regular missions trips to join in the work of sharing God’s love with the nations of the world.
